Operational Efficiency

For us, increasing operational efficiency of a financial trading company involves increasing efficiency from two aspects: Ordering and Operations.

Ordering

Ordering efficiency is increased from before orders gets placed and until they get filled.

Pre Order

Have the right structures, chains and other ordering strategies is critical to be able to order efficiently and timely.

An example of structures, would be a calendar spread or a custom spread (an arbitrage instrument for example). Having prices shown for such structures like any other product/instrument can allow you to react swiftly since the price is calculated for you. Actually, you can even place Limit and the other 12+ order types we have on the instrument structure.

Chaining allows you to have orders executed in chains automatically. Suppose you want to trade a U.S. stock through a limit order, but you want to hedge yourself against the dollar and any other factor that affects the U.S. economy. It would make sense to place an opposite trade on an index after you get your stock (like S&P 500 for instance). But how will you do it timely? Would you wait in-front of your monitor until the order gets executed? In Millennium, this aspect is already taken care of. You just place a Follow-up order on S&P for the stock order. Once the stock order gets filled, the platform will follow it with the index order automatically. This is very simple to do in Millennium, you can even do this from your mobile.

These and other features are meant to help you in the pre-order phase.
